B’ville resident earns 40 under Forty award

— Meredith Price, chief administrative officer of Upstate University Hospital Community campus, has been named to BizEvents’ 2012 “40 Under Forty” list for her contributions in both the workplace and community. This award recognizes 40 Central New Yorkers under the age of 40 who thrive on active community involvement and appreciate the importance of their role in advancing public good.

“The 40 Under Forty Award works to recognize professionals who are ambitious, hard-working and civic-minded, and Meredith Price is exactly that,” said John McCabe, MD, chief executive officer of Upstate University Hospital. “Meredith has served as a critical part of the Upstate team, and her work here and in the community reflects her dedication and commitment to Central New York.”

As chief administrative officer, Price oversees operations of Upstate University Hospital’s Community Campus on Broad Road in Syracuse. Prior to her appointment as CAO, Price led the team that helped with Community General Hospital’s transition to Upstate. Price also has held key positions at Huron Consulting Group, Crouse Hospital, and Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

Price’s community service includes work with The Fayetteville Free Library Board of Directors, Fayetteville-Manlius Education Board of Directors and Syracuse Track Club Board of Directors. Price also served as the chair of the 2012 March for Babies hosted by the March of Dimes.
