Baldwinsville Grace Episcopal Church will hold a traditional service of thanksgiving at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21.
As every schoolchild knows, the earliest American settlers began this observance in thanks for surviving their first year and in celebration of a successful harvest in their new land. The early celebrations and all those since have included giving thanks to God for the many blessings visited upon those fortunate enough to live in this land. So, the evening before running in the "Turkey Trot," enjoying a huge dinner and watching the NFL on TV, the clergy and members of Grace Church invite the community to come join in the giving thanks tradition of this uniquely American holiday.
Grace Episcopal Church is at 110 Oswego St., Baldwinsville.
