Taking first place in the Anything That Floats contest, the S.S. Edison was captained by Tom Carter, 19, and his girlfriend Chelsey Pitcher, 18, both of Baldwinsville. The duo’s craft was two large airbags topped with a frame made from 2-by-4 inch boards. This was Pitcher’s first year competing. Two years ago, Carter made an attempt, but sank shortly after launching into the river
